Over land and sea to Siberia and back

This is another story of a research internship abroad. What makes it special is that it marks the beginning of a travel style I’ve grown to love: finding a way over land and sea, with no commercial planes involved. The idea was inspired by the Trans-Siberian Railway. I decided to make the entire journey by train — from my local station all the way to the heart of Siberia. And what can I say... I had a great time going there, being there, and the journey back home may have been the best part of it.
