tanah-airku
Writing about my experiences in Indonesia touches me deeply. Many people ask me how, as a 15-year-old girl, I came up with the idea of living in this exotic country for a year. And the truth is, it was my sister Charlotte who gave me the idea. She had signed up for an exchange program in the USA. And, as it often is with little sisters, I wanted that too. But not in the USA. I wanted to go to the jungle.
So I took a globe and traced the equator. And then there was Indonesia. I had never heard of or read about the country, but I knew: that’s where I wanted to go. And even though there were still a few hurdles to overcome and things to learn, that’s exactly what happened.
And it changed my whole life.
