(noun, feminine) : A woman from Grenoble, a city in southeastern France.
After graduating with my bachelor's degree from Ruhr University in Germany, I was eager to go abroad again. An internship in Banyias, Syria had been arranged. But six weeks before my departure, I received an email from the host institution: "The city is surrounded by eight tanks. We are sorry—your internship is canceled." The war had broken out. It was shocking.
So I decided to stay in Europe and pursue a master’s degree. Still craving an international experience, I moved to France and enrolled in a program called Chemistry and Life Sciences in the French Alps. And just like that, I became a Grenobloise.
